Southeast Missouri (SEMO) Baseball has officially announced its 55-game schedule for the 2025 season, setting the stage for an exciting year as the defending Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Tournament Champions. Under the leadership of head coach Andy Sawyers, now entering his eighth season, the Redhawks are ready to defend their title and showcase their talent in front of their home crowd at Capaha Field, where they’ll play 30 games.
Season Highlights
The Redhawks kick off their 2025 campaign on the road against Memphis (Feb. 14-16) and face former OVC rival Austin Peay in a midweek clash (Feb. 19). SEMO will open its home schedule with a four-game series against Northern Illinois (Feb. 21-23), featuring a Saturday doubleheader. Other non-conference matchups include Purdue-Fort Wayne, Arkansas State, Missouri, and in-state rival Southern Illinois.
SEMO begins OVC play on the road against UT Martin (March 21-23) before returning to Cape Girardeau to host Western Illinois (March 28-30). The schedule includes marquee home series against Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, and Tennessee Tech, with the regular season concluding at Capaha Field against Little Rock (May 15-17).
Season Tickets Available
Fans can purchase season tickets for just $69, granting access to all regular-season home games. Group experiences, including the Mercy Home Run Deck and Dugout Club, are also available by contacting the SEMO Athletic Ticket Office.
Tournament Bound
The Redhawks will aim to defend their OVC Championship at the conference tournament, held May 21-24 at Mtn. Dew Park in Marion, Illinois, where SEMO clinched the 2024 title.
