The iconic football city, Green Bay, will host the 2025 NFL Draft from April 24-26, marking one of the most significant events in its history. The draft’s main stage will be set at Lambeau Field and the surrounding Titletown district, providing a unique setting steeped in football tradition.
Hosting the NFL Draft is a massive undertaking, but Green Bay has been preparing for years. The city was officially awarded the draft in May 2023, but the bid process dates back nearly six years. Organizers are working closely with the NFL and the Green Bay Packers to tailor the event to the city’s strengths.
“We know this draft is going to be the largest event Green Bay has ever held,” said Brad Meisner of Discover Green Bay. “It’s about making it a Green Bay experience, not just copying what other cities have done.”
Despite being the smallest city ever to host the draft, Green Bay’s charm and history make it a compelling destination. The metro area has around 320,000 people, a fraction of the size of previous host cities, but its football culture is unmatched.
The event is expected to provide a $20 million economic boost, with thousands of fans traveling from nearby NFL cities like Chicago, Minneapolis, and Indianapolis. Lodging and transportation will be key challenges, but organizers are coordinating with communities across eastern Wisconsin to accommodate visitors.
“This is Green Bay’s chance to shine,” Meisner said. “We’re going to give fans an unforgettable experience.”
As draft day approaches, Green Bay is officially on the clock.
