Doug Boles Named President of INDYCAR & Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Penske Entertainment has announced a major restructuring of its senior leadership, with Doug Boles set to serve as President of both INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Boles, who has been President of IMS since 2013, will take over from Jay Frye, who departs after a decade of leadership.

Boles has played a pivotal role in elevating the status of IMS, overseeing the sellout of the 100th Indianapolis 500 and leading over $150 million in strategic investments. His experience in team operations, sponsorship, and marketing, including his time at Panther Racing and Hulman & Company, positions him well for this dual role.

“I’m honored to lead the amazing team at INDYCAR, and I truly believe the future is bigger and brighter than ever,” Boles said.

Other key leadership changes include Mark Sibla’s promotion to Senior Vice President of INDYCAR Competition & Operations, Kyle Novak’s elevation to Vice President of Officiating and Race Control, and Alex Damron’s appointment as Chief Marketing Officer.

With INDYCAR’s transition to FOX Sports and the implementation of state-of-the-art hybrid technology, Boles’ leadership comes at a critical time for the sport. His ability to connect with fans, drivers, and stakeholders will be essential in shaping INDYCAR’s future.
