Cooper Webb Dominates Indianapolis Supercross, Secures Third Win in Four Races

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cooper Webb delivered a commanding performance at Round 9 of the Monster Energy Supercross series in Indianapolis, leading all 25 laps to claim his third victory in the last four races. With his sixth consecutive podium finish—each of which has been either first or second—Webb further solidified his position as one of the top contenders in the championship hunt.

Webb wasted no time establishing his dominance, building a comfortable lead in the opening 12 laps. His advantage widened even further when rival Chase Sexton crashed in the sand section while running in second place. With a clear track ahead, Webb maintained his composure, ultimately crossing the finish line with an eight-second margin over his teammate Justin Cooper.

Despite the flawless execution, Webb expressed frustration over his earlier struggles in the day. “I was pissed off. I made a lot of mistakes today. Man, that was an awesome main event for me, probably one of the easier ones of my career,” Webb admitted. “I executed my start, rode great laps in the beginning, and then put it on cruise control for a drama-free race.”

The event marked Supercross’ 18th visit to Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium, with Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II serving as the Grand Marshal. With Webb’s victory, the series now heads into a brief break before resuming in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 22, where the second Triple Crown event of the season awaits.

For those eager to follow the action, Supercross events can be streamed live on Peacock, with select races airing on NBC, CNBC, USA Network, and NBC Sports digital platforms.
