World of Outlaws Roar Into Pevely for I-55 Federated Auto Parts Spring Classic

The wait is over. This weekend, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series storms into Missouri for one of the most electrifying stops on the calendar: the Federated Auto Parts Spring Classic at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park.

If you’ve ever seen the Outlaws at Pevely, you know what’s coming — pure, chaotic, adrenaline-fueled Sprint Car action on one of the most electrifying bullrings in the country. This 1/3-mile, high-banked oval is built for action, and it’s become a must-watch every time the Outlaws roll into town.

Back in 2020, this spring event drew 61 cars — an eye-popping number for any World of Outlaws race. And while we may not hit the elusive 76-car mark, the buzz around the pits suggests we’re flirting with that 60-car territory once again in 2025.

That kind of turnout means you’re getting the absolute best in the business. The most elite Sprint Car drivers from across the nation are converging on Pevely for two nights of throwdown action — and there’s no Kyle Larson in sight this time around.

Yeah, no 57 car this weekend — Larson’s busy with NASCAR, and you can bet the rest of the field breathed a sigh of relief. Because let’s be real: when Larson’s in the field, it’s “Game Over.” Everyone else is basically racing for second.

This marks the 76th and 77th Series races at I-55, making it the seventh-most visited track in World of Outlaws history. Since debuting on the tour in 1987, this Pevely gem has delivered time and time again.

Now under new ownership heading into 2025, the track name has received a slight tweak, but the racing stays as gnarly as ever. If anything, there’s even more energy around the facility as anticipation builds for a huge year.

Be sure to check out coverage of the Federated Auto Parts Spring Classic on the Dirty Right Rear Podcast, where several past guests will be in action this weekend at I-55! Among the stacked field are familiar names like Gage Montgomery, Joe B. Miller, Kenny Wallace, and Tim Nash — all of whom have shared their stories on the show and are now set to throw down on the high banks of Pevely. Whether you’re tuning in for updates, behind-the-scenes insight, or just some good ol’ dirt track talk, Dirty Right Rear has you covered.
