Middleweight and Lightweight Semifinals Set After Explosive Night at Universal Studios Florida

The 2025 PFL World Tournament continued its electrifying first round at Universal Studios Florida, showcasing high-stakes action in the Middleweight and Lightweight divisions. With the semifinals looming in June, eight fighters emerged victorious and advanced one step closer to a championship payday.

Middleweight Semifinalists Set

Dalton “Hercules” Rosta (10-1) continued his climb with a dominant performance, submitting former champion Sadibou Sy via second-round D’Arce choke. The American Top Team prospect now prepares for a much-anticipated rematch against Canada’s Aaron Jeffery (16-5), who earned his semifinal berth earlier in the evening.

Josh Silveira (14-4), son of MMA legend Conan Silveira, also punched his ticket to the semifinals with a strategic victory. He’ll now face Fabian Edwards (14-4), who stunned fans by finishing 2023 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay with a picture-perfect elbow followed by a ferocious barrage of strikes in the main event.

Lightweight Bracket Delivers Fireworks

In the Lightweight division, former Bellator Champion Brent Primus (16-4, 1 NC) advanced after a measured performance, setting up a showdown with England’s Alfie Davis (18-5-1). Davis opened the night with a statement, stopping fan-favorite Clay Collard in the first round with a devastating elbow and a relentless follow-up.

New Zealand’s Jay-Jay Wilson (11-1) impressed in his PFL debut, overpowering veteran Mads Burnell (20-7) with a storm of strikes after a dominant grappling display. He’ll now face off against Dagestan’s Gadzhi Rabadanov (25-4-2), who extended his win streak to 11 with a jaw-dropping 32-second TKO of Marc Diakiese in the co-main event.
