Bludgeoned By Deformity Unleash Debut EP Epoch of Immorality

East Coast brutal death metal supergroup Bludgeoned By Deformity is set to release their debut EP, Epoch of Immorality, this Friday, June 6th via Iron Fortress Records. A ferocious five-piece made up of extreme metal veterans from across Columbus, Baltimore, and Atlanta, the band features Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg, Tomb Sentinel, Earthburner, and more) on vocals, Ethan Buttery (Jivebomb) on bass, Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index) on drums, and guitarists Bradon Studebaker and Andre Pickens.

Formed in 2024 by Studebaker and Swank, the project is rooted in a shared love for ’90s/early 2000s East Coast death metal, citing influences like Pyrexia, Internal Bleeding, and Scattered Remnants. The band wasted no time assembling a powerhouse lineup and recording Epoch of Immorality in August 2024. The EP includes guest appearances from Chris Basile (Pyrexia) on “False Deliverance” and Don Campan (Waking the Cadaver) on “Extirpated Human Existence.”

The recording sessions spanned studios including Developing Nations, Daily Grind Productions, and Dead Stare Audio, with mastering by Nick Townsend and cover art by Jamie Rosier. The result is a raw, unrelenting slab of modern brutal death metal that doesn’t pull any punches.

Swank recently appeared on the Vulgar Display of Podcast, where he discussed the upcoming release, his experience recording the EP, and working with legendary producer Kurt Ballou (Converge) on a forthcoming Sanguisugabogg album. He also opened up about his love of stand-up comedy, name-dropping Norm Macdonald and Big Jay Oakerson as personal favorites.

Epoch of Immorality will be available on CD, cassette, and all digital platforms. Preorders are now live at Iron Fortress Records. Don’t miss one of the year’s most punishing debuts.
