The St. Louis Blues made a splash at the 2025 NHL Entry Draft by selecting highly-touted forward Justin Carbonneau with the 19th overall pick. The announcement came with a unique local flair, as St. Louis native and award-nominated comedian Nikki Glaser took the stage at the Blues Season Ticket Holder Summer Social held at Enterprise Center to unveil the pick live.
Carbonneau, just 18 years old, is coming off a dominant season with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, where he led his team and finished second in the league overall with 89 points, including 46 goals, over the course of 62 regular-season games. His standout performance earned him a spot on the QMJHL First All-Star Team for the 2024-25 season.
Hailing from Levis, Quebec, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward has spent the last three seasons climbing the ranks in junior hockey, putting together an impressive total of 168 points (82 goals, 86 assists) along with 103 penalty minutes in the QMJHL.
Blues fans will be eager to see how Carbonneau’s offensive instincts, strong physical frame, and knack for scoring translate to the NHL level in the coming years, as the organization continues to build for a competitive future.
