Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle marks the first feature-length film in a planned three-part cinematic trilogy. The film will premiere in IMAX® and premium large format theatres across the United States and Canada on September 12, 2025. It is distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film is based on the original story by Koyoharu Gotoge (JUMP COMICS / SHUEISHA), with screenplay and animation production by the acclaimed studio ufotable.
The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his sister Nezuko is transformed into a demon. Throughout his journey, Tanjiro has grown stronger and forged powerful bonds with fellow demon slayers, including Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira.
Tanjiro has fought alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ elite swordsmen, the Hashira, in several critical battles — from the fiery Mugen Train with Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku to the dangerous Entertainment District with Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, and more recently at the Swordsmith Village alongside Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.
In preparation for an ultimate battle against the demons, the Demon Slayer Corps and the Hashira undergo rigorous group training. However, the sudden appearance of Muzan Kibutsuji at the Ubuyashiki Mansion sets off a chain of events that plunges Tanjiro and the others into a mysterious space — the demons’ fortress known as the Infinity Castle. Here, the final showdown between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons will erupt.
For those eager to dive into the Demon Slayer world, the series is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Fans can also enjoy four albums and four orchestral concerts inspired by the series, available on global music streaming platforms.
