Killer Queen, one of the world’s most acclaimed Queen tribute bands, is once again ready to light up American stages in 2025, bringing the spirit and sound of Freddie Mercury to life with dazzling precision. Led by the incomparable Patrick Myers, who has faithfully embodied Mercury’s energy and voice for over three decades, the band continues to deliver one of the most authentic Queen concert experiences on the planet.

Fans in the Midwest have extra reason to celebrate – Killer Queen will perform live at The Sovereign in St. Louis on Monday, October 13th, a must-see stop on their highly anticipated U.S. tour. Ahead of the show, Patrick Myers joined Tippy from The Tippy Jo Show for an exclusive Zoom interview, brought to you as always by The Barn, where he reflected on the band’s incredible journey and what it means to continue honoring Freddie Mercury’s legacy across the globe.
“It’s been an amazing journey,” says Myers. “That first show back in June 1993 changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most, but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs! The concerts grew and grew, and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride.”
Formed in London in 1993 — just two years after Freddie Mercury’s passing — Killer Queen began as a college tribute that quickly evolved into a phenomenon. By 1995, they were performing in London’s Strand Theatre, becoming the first tribute band ever to headline a show in the West End. From there, the accolades piled up: international awards, sold-out arenas, and even a chart-topping collaboration with Fatboy Slim on “The Real Life.”
Over the years, Myers and his bandmates have performed everywhere from Ahoy Stadium in Rotterdam to the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, a venue Myers calls “magical” and one of his personal career highlights.
But beyond the lights and applause, Patrick Myers continues to find deep meaning in the music and the audience connection that comes with it.
“Freddie had this incredible ability to balance power and playfulness,” said Myers. “It’s what made him human and what makes these songs timeless. Every night, when the crowd sings back ‘Somebody to Love’ or ‘We Are the Champions,’ you can feel that connection. It’s bigger than just a performance – it’s a shared moment.”
A Legacy That Lives On
Killer Queen has now been touring for over 30 years, becoming the longest-running Queen tribute act in the world. Their live shows are nothing short of spectacular – packed with the hits that defined generations, from “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “Another One Bites the Dust” to the anthemic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Whether you’re a lifelong Queen fan or discovering their music for the first time, Killer Queen’s 2025 tour promises an unforgettable celebration of rock’s most dynamic frontman and one of the greatest catalogs in music history.
