Breaking Benjamin continue building anticipation for their next chapter, and there is plenty for fans to be excited about. While the multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse recently unleashed their crushing new single “Something Wicked,” guitarist Keith Wallen is also making serious noise with his growing solo catalog.
Wallen has kicked off 2026 with the release of his brand new solo single, “A Thin Line,” a haunting and emotional track driven by gentle acoustic guitar and his signature soaring vocals. The song carries the spirit of late 1990s alternative power ballads, proving once again that sometimes simplicity delivers the biggest impact.
Speaking on the meaning behind the song, Wallen explained that “A Thin Line” explores the duality of human choice and how decisions can shape vastly different outcomes, from peace or war to life or death.
Over the last year, Wallen has steadily built momentum as a solo artist with a string of strong releases including “Us Against the World,” “Dead Inside,” a powerful cover of I’m With You by Avril Lavigne, and the collaborative track “TEETH MARKS” with Haley Roughton of GORE.. His solo work continues to showcase a different side of his artistry, blending melody, vulnerability, and hard rock grit.
Keith also recently appeared on Vulgar Display of Podcast, where he gave fans an inside look at his musical journey, creative process, and the balance between his solo work and his role in Breaking Benjamin.
Meanwhile, Breaking Benjamin have officially released “Something Wicked,” offering another taste of their forthcoming studio album, though full details on the record remain under wraps. The band described the track as a reflection of both their musical and thematic influences, saying they pushed themselves harder than ever and challenged every boundary they previously had.
Breaking Benjamin also welcomed new drummer Brian Medeiros, formerly of Red and Otherwise, signaling an exciting new era for one of modern hard rock’s most enduring bands.
Between Wallen’s compelling solo material and Breaking Benjamin’s upcoming album, 2026 is shaping up to be a massive year for the band and their fans.
