For nearly 30 years, Nonpoint have remained one of hard rock’s most dependable and energetic bands. Formed in South Florida in 1997 by vocalist Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera, the band built its reputation through relentless touring, powerful live performances, and fan-favorite songs such as “What a Day,” “Bullet With a Name,” “Breaking Skin,” “Ruthless,” and their acclaimed cover of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.”
Now, Nonpoint are preparing to release their eleventh studio album, The Last Word, on September 18, 2026, through 361 Degrees Records. The album’s lead single, “Is It,” quickly became the most-added track at Active Rock radio upon release and has already climbed into the Mediabase Active Rock Top 50.
According to Soriano, the song explores self-reflection and the consequences of personal decisions, while the album itself serves as a statement that the band is far from finished.
“‘Is It’ is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved? Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much? It’s that feeling of wondering if doing what you thought was right actually meant hurting the people around you.”
The album itself carries a larger message about perseverance and longevity. Soriano says the record is a response to the idea that creativity has an expiration date.
“In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, The Last Word is our way of saying we’re just getting started. We’re pushing back against expectation and pushing forward into our own next chapter.”
The current Nonpoint lineup features Elias Soriano (vocals), Robb Rivera (drums), Rasheed Thomas (guitar/backing vocals), Adam Woloszyn (bass), and Jason Zeilstra (guitar).
To support the new album, Nonpoint are currently on the Even More Outta Control Tour with Spineshank and Hed PE. Midwest fans can catch the band on August 12 at Pop’s Nightclub in Sauget, Illinois, and August 15 at The Rave II in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they will perform new material from The Last Word alongside the songs that have made them a staple of the hard rock scene.
